OUR COMMITTMENT

Although a small Company, we are a dedicated bunch. Our pilots’ extensive local knowledge of the Slave Lake and surrounding areas, allows us to provide consistent, year round service delivery to our many repeat clients. All Company pilots are experienced in winter operations and receive annual ground and flight training to type, including any speciality training as required. Flight training is conducted externally at substantial cost to ensure that our pilots receive the best instruction possible and are regularly exposed to new ideas and practices. Flight personnel must also complete the following update training:

• Pilot Decision Making (Human Factors)

• H2S Awareness
• Safety Management Systems

• WHMIS Procedures
• Emergency and Survival Procedures

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Air)
• Standard First Aid

In addition to the above, our pilot operators are trained in the following:

• Confined Spaces

• Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Ground)
• ATV Safety

• Incipient Fire Fighting
• Ground Disturbance Level 1

FLEET MAINTENANCE

At Sloan Helicopters Ltd., our commitment to continuous safety improvement begins with our aircraft maintenance, supporting safe fleet operations year round in the sometimes less than ideal environmental conditions of North-Central Alberta. Our non-specialized maintenance requirements are met by Falcon Air Service Technologies Ltd. (AMO 60-10). For maintenance not covered by the scope of our AMO, we rely exclusively on Transport Canada certified domestic AMOs and approved foreign maintenance organizations.

As a Company, we adhere to strict aircraft maintenance schedules designed to meet, if not exceed, regulatory and manufacturers’ requirements. All scheduling is controlled electronically to ensure that each upcoming maintenance task is addressed and that aircraft inspections are completed on time.

OUR FACILITES

  • HANGAR EXTERNAL
  • HANGAR INTERNAL

All Company aircraft are regularly maintained in a hangar facility located in Kinuso (AB)

(GPS coordinates: N55: 14.24, W115: 23.13).

This hangar space, which measures over 3750 square feet, can accommodate multiple aircraft simultaneously, including our Company AS350 B2 (ASTAR).

Sloan Helicopters Ltd. also has access to additional hangar space located 25 miles North of Slave Lake (AB) and 20 miles North of Wabasca (AB).
